How do Maer styles fit?

Our incredibly flattering, true to size styles are made out of high quality, high stretch fabrics that allow for the ultimate fit flexibility. Designs are strategically created to give support where needed. Comfortable enough to take a cat nap in, yet our seams are all double topstitched to provide durability. Doubled linings and carefully chosen fabrics smooth out accentuate all the right places.

Where are your clothes manufactured?

We manufacture all styles in Northern Portugal.

When we began Maer, we knew the people behind the brand would be it’s heartbeat. We carefully researched factories for months. We were looking for fair working conditions and business practices, decades of experience, proven track record of quality and dependability and a high level of expertise. Northern Portugal was an idyllic background with its beautiful coasts, flowing wines, rolling fields and sweet, clear air. It was here that we found factories that were passed down through families, upholding honored traditions and supported entire towns for generations.

The top factories were owned by women. Who better to know a woman than a woman? We immediately knew that we found our perfect partners. Women run, women owned, every boss in our team is a woman working passionately towards our mission.

What currency are your prices in?

All purchases are in U.S. Dollars and prices for all of our items are listed in U.S Dollars.

Can I get a price adjustment?

We do not offer price adjustments at this time.

We sell directly to you, our customers, not through wholesale accounts. We work hard to offer you the lowest possible price for each style. All profits go directly back into our factories, employees, and product so that we can continue making you beautiful clothes. And because we do not sell wholesale, there are no competing discounts to price match against.

However, please sign up for our rewards program (just click on the rewards icon in the bottom right corner). You can earn points for all of your purchases and when you refer a friend. Every 1000 points you earn we are giving you 10% off on your next order.

What if you are out of the style/color/size I want?

How do I care for my Maer styles?

You can hand wash and lay flat to dry. But Dry Cleaning is always best!

When will I be charged for my order?

Your card will be charged at the time of shipment. You might see an authorization in the amount of the item(s) purchased on your card once the order is placed, but the charge will not be fully processed until the item(s) ship.

If you have pre-ordered something, and your order splits into multiple shipments, you will be charged for the item(s) as they ship.

Where do you ship? Do you ship outside of the U.S.?

For now, we only ship to the 50 United States and Washington, D.C..

Unfortunately, we are unable to ship to PO Boxes, US Territories and Military addresses at this time.

What if my order arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect?

Please take photos of the damaged product and/or packaging as soon as it arrives and send an email to support@maer.co.

We will work to resolve this as quickly as possible!

Can I change/cancel my order?

We try to process orders as fast as possible to ensure you get your pieces in a timely manner. If you need to cancel or change an order after you have placed it, please contact support@maer.co ASAP.

We will do our best to accommodate your request but cannot guarantee a cancel or change will be able to be made.

What forms of payment do you take?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and Shopify Pay.

What is a preorder, and when does it ship?

We may offer items for sale before they actually arrive at our warehouse. You will be notified on both the product page and the checkout if it is a preorder item, and given a timeframe for when this item will ship. You will be notified of your tracking number, via the email address associated with your order, once your order has shipped.

Where are your pieces made?

We have dual headquarters, in New York City and Lisbon, Portugal.
Co-Creative Directors Megan Wall and Donna Kang lead our in-house design team.
Our fabrics are sourced from Portugal, Italy, Japan, and Turkey.
Our labels and packaging are sourced from Portugal.
Currently, 100% of our products are produced in Northern Portugal.

How do you choose your factories?

We have chosen factories that meet our high standards for product quality and working conditions. We have been careful to partner with factories and suppliers that support our brand vision for: inclusive sizing, products made for women by women (our company and factories are women-led), sustainability goals, and our ethical standards for fair wages and good working conditions.

Our production manager lives in Portugal and visits our factories almost daily to ensure the quality of our product, and that our partnerships remain mutually beneficial.

How do you manage your environmental impact?

We are constantly working to improve our carbon footprint.

We are working to fine-tune a biodegradable bag to replace the industry standard clear plastic polybags our clothes ship in. We believe it’s important to eliminate as much plastic as possible in our packaging materials. Stay tuned for updates on this initiative!

Our warehouse ships your orders using recycled boxes and dunnage. We encourage our customers to recycle these packaging materials to continue the cycle.

We believe one of the best ways to minimize waste from clothing production, is for consumers to buy quality, not quantity. We work hard to make pieces that our customers can invest in and enjoy for a long time to come.

We are always looking for ways to minimize waste and be smart and responsible with our resources.

What is your Gift Card Policy?

We offer digital gift cards for purchase on our website in increments of: $100, $150, $200, $250

Gift card purchases are non-refundable.

Gift cards never expire.

Gift cards are only valid if purchased from Maer directly. Maer is not responsible for gift cards purchased from unauthorized sources.

Do you offer gift receipts?

No, we do not offer special gift receipts, but the packing list and invoice that ships with each order does not include the price on it. So no worries there!

Do you gift wrap?

No, unfortunately we are unable to provide gift wrap at this time.
